Tobit, Ch.13 – And he said: Blessed be God who lives for ever, for his reign endures throughout all ages!
I decided to take some pictures out on a cold winter day and I was pleasantly surprised. The snow was a foot deep and it was frigid, yet the walk revealed a very different story. I saw blue skies and the colours of the setting sun and clouds that peppered the sky and formed moving images. I saw the branches of the trees and leaves laden with snow. I saw a pristine landscape of white, marked in some places with dog tracks and boot prints. I felt refreshed and alive after the walk.
Isaiah 55:10 - For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven,
And do not return there without watering the earth
And making it bear and sprout,
And furnishing seed to the sower and bread to the eater.
Walk around the city this time of the year, and you will come across Christmas trees of all shapes, colours, sizes and themes. The malls vie with each other to have Christmas trees that are either the largest or tallest or most unique, such as the Swarovski tree with its crystal baubles, the tallest Christmas tree, the all silver decorated tree, and the poinsettia Christmas tree, which is by far my favourite of them all! Nothing puts a greater spell on the magic of Christmas quite like a Christmas tree.
For to Us a Child is born, to us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
There is nothing more mesmerizing and spectacular than a Canadian sunset with its array of colours that range from cool blues to soothing yellows to warm golden to bright fiery orange hues, transforming the skies into a canvas that will forever remain imprinted in your memories. The after glow is by far my favourite part of a sunset, casting shadows while the sun slowly slips away. You won’t be disappointed with the magnificent show a Canadian sunset puts on, I promise. It is in these mesmerizing moments you marvel in the creator.
Psalm 19:1 - The heavens declare the glory of God, the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
These Canadian sights will put anyone in a joyous mood, lift your spirits and put a spring in your step. With over 30 degrees temperatures this weekend, people are out and about with caution. Thank you Lord for bringing us out of the dark days of lockdown, unscathed.
Exodus 14:21 - Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and the Lord drove the sea back by a strong east wind all night and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.
