Genesis 2:1 - Thus the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array.
Psalm 113:3- From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets, the name of the Lord is to be praised.
Recently the men in our family celebrated their 80th and 90th birthdays. These men remind me of mighty trees that always stand a little taller or stretch themselves a little further than the others. In all these years they have accomplished much, living good lives, bringing immense blessings to their immediate and extended families. Our lives are so much fuller and richer because of them.
Ruth 4:15 - He will renew your life and sustain you in your old age.
With Spring comes varied sounds…the twitter, chirp, tweet, trill and songs of birds, among the busyness of life. Who does not love listening to the singing of cardinals and the chirping of robins! Matthew 6:26 - Look at the birds in the sky, they do not reap nor gather into the barns, and trust that the Father will provide.
Even the flimsiest of trees and plants can withstand a harsh winter. I have learnt a lot from them – that one can be battered and bruised in one season of your life and stand up strong and flourish in another season. While some die in winter, others are resistant and survive.
2 Corinthians 5:17
