This is the day…

Despite the circumstances, despite the uncertainty of today, we have one constant. Let’s enjoy our family, our children, our loved ones and the things around us while we can. Each of us have a lot to be thankful for. Let us count our blessings.

Psalm 118:24 - This is the day the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it.

And God saw that it was good…

If you have ever visited the Grand Canyon or a breathtakingly beautiful place, you will know this statement rings true. You will certainly see the glory of God’s creation. You simply cannot take in the beauty and marvel without thinking of the Creator. I remember standing for the longest time taking in the spectacular sights of the canyon. Pictures just don’t do justice to its overpowering majesty, and the awe stays with you long after you leave the canyon.

Psalm 8 - How Majestic Is Your Name in all the Earth.

Silhouettes and Shadows…

Every road leads to some place, a destination in life. It may not be the path you want to be on, but it is the road you were chosen to be on. You can either take a different route, stop to rest a while, or stay on the path and enjoy the scenery.

Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways submit to him and he will make your paths straight.

Spring is here…

Spring officially begins today in the northern hemisphere, March 20th, and what better way to celebrate its arrival than a hike and walk in 12 degree centigrade temperature. A fair enough temperature to shed my winter jacket and replace it with my North Face outdoor sweater. It is just too warm and beautiful to remain indoors. To new beginnings of the season – birds chirping, new buds, new leaves, new flowers.

Isaiah 61:11
For as the soil makes the sprout come up and a garden causes seeds to grow, so the Sovereign Lord will make righteousness
and praise spring up before all nations.
