Christmas trees…

Walk around the city this time of the year, and you will come across Christmas trees of all shapes, colours, sizes and themes. The malls vie with each other to have Christmas trees that are either the largest or tallest or most unique, such as the Swarovski tree with its crystal baubles, the tallest ChristmasContinue reading “Christmas trees…”

Christmas lights…

December descends upon Toronto and brings with it a whole different atmosphere. The shorter dark evenings, the festive lights, the cold sweater weather, and a feeling of holiday cheer. Fall in Canada…

I will let these pictures speak for themselves…you be the judge of the beauty of Fall! Isaiah 40:8 – The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.

Truly Canadian…

Maple trees and Muskoka chairs are synonymous with Canada just like Roots clothing, beaver tails, maple syrup, moose crossings and poutine. It did not take me long after immigrating to this beautiful country to find out that most Canadians are proud of these iconic staples. Galatians 6:2 – Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfillContinue reading “Truly Canadian…”

Waterfront sights…

A short walk from home brings us to a place of beauty, nature and joy – the waterfront!!! A typical summer evening at the waterfront would vary depending on the day of the week and the weather. The scene dramatically changes from a quiet humdrum weekday to a vibrant, bustling-with-excitement, colourful weekend with families, adults,Continue reading “Waterfront sights…”
